The great internet marketing lie!

Attraction marketing, Marketing No Comments »

How do you like being lied to?

Obviously a lot of program owners like telling lies to their potential clients.

Every day you see advertisements for overpriced programs that state things like :

  • “You do not have to sell anything”
  • “You do not have to do any promoting”
  • “We do all the selling for you”
  • etc. etc.

All these advertisements do is rip off desparate people who need an extra income and are led to believe it is easy.

If there was no need to advertise these program and you would get paid, why would the owners need to sell their program to unsuspecting newcomers.

They would just rake the cash in

IT IS NOT EASY

There are no short cuts to making money on the internet that work on the long term, you need to learn how to sell.

Not just products, but yourself as well. Because of people like those mentioned above trust is in short supply on the internet, it is such a remote medium that if you are not known and trusted you will never make a good living.

Download this free e-book to find out from its pages how to sell yourself and your product successfully.

Would you respond to an email like this?

Marketing No Comments »

I received an email the other day through one of the major list building sites that consisted of:

  1. A one word subject line: ‘FIRSTNAME’
  2. A one word body: ‘track’

Who would send an email like that and expect a response from it?

I can only assume that the writer thought that because there is a link at the bottom, readers would click on that link and join the opportunity.

That is total nonsense, the ONLY people who would click on a link like that would be people who were just clicking for the points so that they could send more messages.

A genuine opportunity seeker, who would be more likely to join, would ALWAYS read the message in the email, not just click the link with no idea what the subject of it would be. I have seen it suggested by some people to do things like that but it simply does not work and is a total waste of time and effort on part of the sender.

Why do some internet marketers hide their identity?

Attraction marketing, Marketing No Comments »

I don’t know about you, but when I receive an email that doesn’t have a name and contact on it, it is immediately binned.

Why don’t some people want you to see their details, after all they have got yours and you might have exactly the opportunity they are looking for, or be able to offer some advice to help their message come across better.

The only time I will respond to a message in that way is if I see a problem with the message and I want to offer advice.

The most common excuse for this is that if they put their details on the emails they send out trying to sell their opportunity all they will get is loads of offers back.

In my experience, that doesn’t happen to any great extent, you do get a few people that respond that way, but not as many as you might expect.
I always put my details on any message I send, whether it is an email, or anything else, if you are nor prepared to stand up and be counted, most of your readers will consider:

1. You are either scared of admitting who you are

2. Your product is such rubbish that if anybody does respond and buys it they can’t come back to you because they don’t know who you are.

There are some people producing products who say in their information to affiliates, “Don’t put your details on the emails you send out” why shouldn’t you put your details out, at least it will help to get your name recognised and then if your name gets known people will be more likely to buy from you in the future as they know you have been around for a while and not just a ‘fly by night’ character who is going to take their money and run.

Be yourself and have confidence in your product, if you cant do that you will never be able to make it in this industry, self-confidence is a necessity, you dont have to be brash and ‘in your face’ about it but you must believe in it and your ability to promote it with honesty and integrity.

Is this Internet Marketing system too good to be true?

Attraction marketing, Marketing No Comments »

How would you like to pay $39.95 for a system which will immediately earn you $20,000 per month or more working only an hour or so per day?

Does that sound like an attractive proposition?

I saw an advertising program recently promising just that. It was a really well made advert, I am sure lots of people would have wanted to buy from it.

Why am I telling you about this?
Because I want to explain why these propositions are just scams!

You have to WORK to make it in this business, it doesn’t just come with a $39.95 proposition.

This program was offering: 10 “customized” websites and instructions for how to make money with them. They even offered an option to create 120 websites! Imagine how much money those 120 sites could make!!

What are they really offering?

Here is how those “plans” work:

For your $39.95, you will be sent basic information on making money with affiliate marketing. They will tell you about affiliate networks like ClickBank and PayDotCom and how to use them.
All of this information is freely available on the internet for free

They will also give you ten websites, this is how they do that:

Following your registration they will give you the address of their form page. This form page has a few fields such as your user name, email address and your chosen programs. You push the ‘submit’ button and you have your ten sites created instantly!

That is when the problems begin, you are given a sub-domain address, NOT a full address.
Your address will be something like:
http://www.YourUserName.TheirDomain.com

Not a first level address like http://www.YourSite.com.

This creates a lot of problems. Here is just one of them:

The search engines do not like duplicate content at all!

All of those sites are created from the same template. That means there are lots of sites (possibly thousands) out there already that are almost EXACTLY the same as yours (only the user information is different).

Each of these sites will be penalized by the search engines; none of them will ever receive any search traffic.

How can they promise $20,000 per month?

Maybe that was achieved when the site was first put up and was original, but since they have sold hundreds of copies it can never be achieved again.

Also as long as they have a “refund guarantee” in place, even if they bother to honour it (many don’t) they know that only a small percentage of the people who signed up will ever bother to ask for a refund (typically around 20%). So they can’t lose.

The Moral of this story

There is no such thing as a program that will guarantee to make you a fortune overnight.
You have to work at it over a period of time, get yourself known and build your business.

On average it takes about 3 years to build a long term stable business for yourself, you will be able to make money before that but a regular sustainable income takes time.

Therefore, get back to work now, learn whatever new skills you need to progress and build your business.

If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask someone that knows the answer.

There is a free training program you may want to look at, the renegade university is based on the program created by Ann Sieg, but it takes it further by teaching you exactly what you need to do and showing you ‘click-by-click’ how it needs to be done.
