Once you have your website up and running you need to create something you can use to attract people to sign up to your list.
The most common way to do this is through the use of a ‘squeeze page’, this is a simple page that does not try to sell anything, all it does is asks for some personal details, often just a name and email address in exchange for something of value.
Here are some examples of squeeze pages Renegade University this one asks for First and last names, email address, phone number and a username for you to use. This is more than most of these ask for, another is Building on a budget as you can see all these ask for is information in exchange for a free product.
All that is really needed is just name and email, the more information you ask for on the squeeze page the less likely people are to sign up. This can be a good thing, as if they bother to fill out quite a bit of information they are more likely to be serious about joining.
There are many programs available that will create a squeeze page for you, but it is not hard to create your own. All you need is a basic Template and you can fill in your own details.
